PeerTube for Television Ephemera Archives? - imrustyokay - 25-06-2023

So, I just heard from Applemask's latest video that one of my favorite UK TV Ephemera channels, benriggers, had his channel purged along with all of his videos. It's such a shame, considering some of his videos I quite liked. Anyway, I was wondering if those uploading TV Ephemera would need a dedicated PeerTube server to host their findings. PeerTube is like if Old ITV met YouTube. People make servers to host their own uploads free of algorithms and corporate influence. The servers are both autonomous and interconnected. The only problem is to make a server, it would require someone with some tech know-how, that I don't really have.

Benriggers was purged not because of copyrights but because some heartless user misreported the wrong Ben Riggers.

Oh dang, really? That's such a shame, actually. Hope Ben can come back to YouTube, then.

Well yeah, but returning to YouTube is a costly process.
