Historical overview of the British anthem at closedown

An announcerless closedown with an abbreviated version of the Central theme.

One sketchy YouTube comment from another video states that there was also another Central closedown without the announcer but the closing theme was fully played instead of being abbreviated.

Can you please edit the first post?

Add these information:
1. Meridian completely refused to play the Anthem. At some point they closed with a clock and then they would fade to a still of the Meridian ident with the channel's theme. Then they turned 24/7.
2. BBC North closed in the 80s without the clock and the announcer. They only showed a completely different anthem.
3. BBC Midlands showed a still of the BBC Midlands HQ for 8 seconds with the anthem before fading to the BBC globe ident.
4. And lastly, these occassions: BBC North West played the old anthem at closedown during the final days at their old broadcasting house. BBC Northern Ireland played the 1972 (sped up) anthem at the station's logo because the clock was missing.
5. BBC Wales refused to show the Picture of the Queen in Christmas 1992. Instead, they showed the Christmas ident with WALES added into the logo and played some Christmas carol, IIRC.

Some of the information is kinda fake:
1: Meridian was born AFTER ITV went 24/7 (four years after the process was complete) and was 24/7 from its inception.
2: That came on after a regional opt-out of Children in Need in 1984 (according to The TV Room's Rewind) that took the place of the network closedown. There was no announcer, so an emergency closedown had to be made after the opt-out ended.
3: This one is true, skip
4: "because the clock was missing" are you referring to 1973 or the 1984 conversion of its equipments which caused the new clock to appear?
5: There is no video evidence of it to date and the closest closedown is from the 16th. Likewise as of 2023 there's still no evidence of the Balloon closedown there. Given that they used to close at Christmas with carols as far back as 1980, it's sure that even they didn't miss out on that.

There was once a BBC Christmas 1978 closedown that was on YouTube that featured the clock, then the BBC Christmas 1978 ident with the slow version of God Save the King. I watched it when I was young.

Suddenly, the video got removed/privatized, and it was no longer available to watch.

I watched it sometime between 2016 and 2017.
