4Learning 2000 – 2001 Branding

In April 2000 a radical move in branding by Channel 4 saw their schools service renamed to 4Learning. The continuity was maintained from 1999 with only the obvious name change. Perhaps dropping “schools” from the name was to appeal to a broader daytime audiance (it may even of been a funding initiative if it became a general educational resource).

It appears some wipe has been applied to these last few frames. It may be the case that the “schools” from the previous era was burned into the sequence. So to reuse the sequence with “4LEARNING” and apply a wipe would save a re-work.
