A new set of idents are introduced on 23rd January 2006… The idents did not feature the broadcaster’s logo, but instead use images inspired by the four letter words. The first set used: Fast, Fear, Free, Hope, Life, Live, Love, Rush.
The idents were commissioned by the.The Five director of marketing, Jane Scott initiated the concept with head of creative services, Nol Davis commissioning the idents, he said “This is a confident evolution of Five’s already strong on-air image. It represents much more than a corporate logo, it is a living and breathing embodiment of everything the channel stands for.”
The idents were created by branding agency BB/Saunders and shot in Prague and the UK through Hungry Man, with post production by Finish and 3D work by Realise. Samuel Christopher directed, with Matt Jones producing. The music is by Tanuki 8.

On Monday 29th May 2006, four additional idents were added: “easy, feel, play & risk”
On 2nd January 2007, “fear, feel, free, live, risk and rush” were revised with the words being replaced by five.
