Eyewitness News – Primaries

By late 1979, WABC had moved to its new set. Physically, it resembles a more refined version of the stairsteps set – the desk and general layout are similar, but the bright colors are replaced with beige, wood paneled walls. This makes the set look far more streamlined than before, if a little more uninteresting. The high point of the set – the huge Eyewitness News logos on the walls, which were frequently used for opens, to great effect (notice the nice sweeping shots used here)
