By 1979, the 11pm shift had been assigned to reporters Rose Ann Scamardella and Ernie Anastos. This pairing worked very well, as Rose Ann was a familiar face at 7, while Ernie Anastos' smooth, straightforward delivery complimented Rose Ann's "sweetheart" personality. Also by this time, Scott Vincent had died and announcing duties on WABC were handled by a trio of ABC staff announcers: Allan Jeffries, Wally Parker, and Gil Hodges, with Hodges becoming more or less the "main" voice of channel 7. Allan Jeffries, however, handles this clip.
