Strathclyde Transport

Strathclyde was Scotland's largest Region Council and responsible for local train services, in addition to taking over the buses and underground system owned by Glasgow City Corporation. It also operated the Renfrew – Yoker Ferry over the River Clyde. Easily recognisable as it's vehicles were all painted bright orange. The council was abolished in 1996 by John Major's government.
