They call him John. Every Thursday, like clockwork, he stands there, aiming to navigate the perilous sea of tarmac to claim his pension – probably to fund his biscuit addiction. But does John see the same road as you, with its Ford Transits, Mini Clubmans and impatient horn-tooters? Does he hear the revving engines or just dreams of a cuppa at the other side?
