The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4

This adaptation by Sue Townsend of her own book starred Gian Sammarco as Adrian Mole, a bespectacled adolescent whose ordeals, aspirations and problems formed the core of the stories. Julie Walters played his mother Pauline, who was separated from his father George (Stephen Moore). Beryl Reid played Grandma Mole and Pandora, the object of Adrian's love, was portrayed by Lindsey Stagg.
