The Ice House

The eighth and final film in the BBC's annual Ghost Story for Christmas strand. By now, Lawrence Gordon Clark had jumped ship from the BBC to Yorkshire Television, his place was taken by Coronation Street director Derek Lister, in this tale of a mysterious building that stores ice on the grounds of a health spa. It wasn't as well received as the earlier ghost stories, and the BBC gave up on the strand, although it has been revived in some forms or other over the years.
