Sunday Night at the London Palladium

Bruce Forsyth was arguably the most popular host of the Palladium show. This famous edition from 1961 features him performing with guest star Norman Wisdom; they fill the entire hour-long programme on their own, with songs and routines including a decoratoring sketch, which ends with vast amounts of wallpaper paste being emptied over Norman's head by Brucie. The only regular item in this edition is the game show segment Beat The Clock, in which Bruce times members of the audience as they take part in simple challenges, in order to win cash prizes.
