Made on a budget that was as cheap as chips, this mostly harmless Lorne Spicer vehicle seemed popular with daytime audiences. Each edition was filmed on location at car boot sales across the south-east, during which Spicer encouraged teams of contestants to invest in toot. Experts Paul Heklin and Mark Oliver elected the winning team based on the maximum likely value of the toot that had been chosen. There were quarter-finals and semi-finals across each series, with the ultimate aim to find the region's King & Queen of the Bootsales. TX date of this example: 19/09/02. Spicer is now better known as the host and co-creator of a similar format, Car Booty, made by Leopard Films for BBC1.
