The sporting stars of 1998 sign in as they arrive for what was to be the final time that the programme was called Sports Review of the Year. This was also the final time that Desmond Lynam co-presented the programme as he left for ITV Sport the following summer. However, this year's programme did feature telephone voting for the first time.
