Gideon Oliver

Gideon Oliver was based on a series of books by Aaron Elkins and starred Louis Gossett Jr. as the titular anthropology professor who uses his knowledge to solve crimes. It started off with a run of 5 TV movies in 1989, with producer Dick Wolf and Universal Television hoping that it would lead to a series with ABC. Sadly, that wasn’t the case, over here, Granada is showing one of the 5 TV movies made, Tongs!
