BBC1 Schools – Clocks and Dots

In 1981 BBC1 changed its logo, and the dots altered accordingly – in time! Rumours suggest the BBC1 logo was not changed until a week into Autumn Term 1981, even though the rebrand happened during the first weekend in September.
