Airwolf

Created by Donald Bellisario (of "Quantum Leap" fame amongst others), the show concerned a high tech military helicopter, codename "Airwolf", and her crew as they took on missions, mainly involving espionage and with a Cold War theme. It starred Jan-Micheal Vincent and Ernest Borgnine. There was a spin off of a film at the time, which featured similar themes and also involved a helicopter called "Blue Thunder" but this only ran for 11 episodes in 1984 and was seen as a poor competitor to "Airwolf"
