Humphrey Burton introduces LWT's early 70s Arts series, forerunner of "The South Bank Show". This edition from 10/09/1973 is arguably the most memorable of the entire run, containing a brilliant film by Russell Harty and his director Bruce Gowers who had spent a wild weekend in Spain with Salvador Dali. Among the many highlights are the avant-garde soundtrack, a burning stuffed giraffe and fleeting appearances by Dali's reclusive wife Gala.
