ARD In-Vision Continuity
The clip shown here is the announcement for the main evening programme, which in Germany until today starts at 20:15 after the news programme "Tagesschau". At the beginning you can see the logo of the "first German television – ARD" used until 1984 with the recognition tone of the Hessian Broadcasting Corporation. This means that the film was broadcast by Hessischer Rundfunk for ARD. Between the individual parts of the programme, the programme was switched to the individual state broadcasters (BR, hr, SDR, NDR, etc.). This is still done today. However, there is no visible switchover, only a short fade-in at the beginning of the programme to indicate which station is responsible for the programme, e.g. "NDR for Das Erste". The announcer is Karin Tietze-Ludwig.
