The Arthur Haynes Show

Starting on radio, Arthur Haynes became a big star after the war and began this ATV sketch show in 1956, returning to radio in 1962 with a show of the same title. His comedy sidekick was a certain Nicholas Parsons, who continued to star alongside him until Haynes untimely death in 1966 aged just 50. Haynes was about to start filming the 16th series of this show.
