South West At Six

How it all began. BBC South West’s first daily news magazine was South West At Six, hosted by Sheila Tracy. Sheila went onto presenting on Radio 2, and she even performed the South West at 6 theme as she was a great trombonist. Sadly Sheila died 30th September 2014. The programme changed its name to Spotlight on September 30th 1963.
