BBC Two Ident – Tag – Football

Was an idea ever so detrimental to an iconic logo? This ident appeared shortly after the main set and was originally designed to launch the concept of "citizen 2s" – otherwise known as tagging 2s. One could be forgiven for thinking anyone could have shot this with a camcorder. Two other "tagging 2s" have been seen – one featuring a policeman being tagged, another in an art gallery, but perhaps unsurprisingly the tagging concept has failed to take off and this ident is the only one of the trio that is in regular use, perhaps because of the football theme.
