The Big Bang was a CITV science show originally hosted by Kate Bellingham and Gareth ‘Gaz Top’ Jones and produced by Yorkshire Television. The show aired for ninety-five shows and nine series between April 15, 1996, and September 8, 2004. This edition was from the show’s second series, which was the last on-screen appearance of original co-host Kate Bellingham, who left to become a mum. Originally broadcast in the summer of 1997, the actual recording was from CITV’s Old Skool Weekend to mark CITV’s 30th anniversary on January 5, 2013. The show’s theme music was composed by Chris Norton and Frank Mizen.
