Blockbusters – Sky one

11 months after finishing its 10-year run on ITV, Blockbusters returned, still with Bob Holness at the helm, on Sky One for a 180-edition run. (The show was still being made by Central at their Lenton Lane studios in Nottingham.) The first show started from scratch, as no contestants from the final ITV show returned. Ed Welch updated the show’s Quiz Wizard theme music. Only six of the ITV regions showed the 11th series; they were Anglia, Central, Meridian, Tyne Tees, Yorkshire, and Border.
