We can’t give an exact date for this clip, but it must be from between 1962, when Valerie Singleton joined and 1965, when John Noakes joined. Christopher Trace was one of the original presenters having been there since Blue Peter started in 1958. A third presenter was added when Blue Peter started to be broadcast twice a week (Monday & Thursday) as Biddy Baxter, the editor, felt this would be too much work for two people.
