BBC South Branding

The BBC South region, which covers the South of England, was officially launched on 3 September 2001. Here’s how the BBC’s channel branding has looked from BBC South over the years from its base in Southampton.

The right image shows another variation of the BBC South symbol later in the 1970s minus the white strap, and given an outline treatment.
