ITV Yorkshire 1999 – 2002 Branding

On 8th November 1999 Yorkshire introduced the Heart Idents.

In 2001 the idents are updated to show ITV1

At the same time the company also introduced 80 new Local idents, which were only used before local programmes. Its unclear why so many were created but its believed this was to be the new main package before the Hearts were finally given the green light when Carlton who were the main objectionists decide to use their own new design – Carlton Star. This allowed GMG, UNM and Border press ahead with the Hearts.
