Jacko (Karl Howman) is a charismatic painter and decorator who thrives in the presence of women. Mischievous yet kind-hearted, Jacko shares a home with his married sister, Jean (Nicky Croydon), and spends his free time with Elmo Putney (Howard Lew Lewis), the landlord of the local pub. At Bainbridge Decorators, Jacko works alongside his trusty brother-in-law, Eric (Mike Walling), all while under the careful and sceptical gaze of their supervisor, Lionel (Gary Waldhorn). A total of 40 episodes were broadcast over 5 series between 1986 and 1991.
