WCBS launched the "CBS 2 Information Network" in October 2000, and shortened the fabulous "News 2" opens as a result. Thus, what was simply and logically known as "News 2 at 6" turned into "The News at 6 on the CBS 2 Information Network". Great branding! This clip is from January 2000.
