In April 2000, WCBS introduced what many consider to be their slickest and best graphics and music package to date. Powerful music was composed by Edd Kalehoff, while US movie trailer voiceover king Don LaFontaine handled the open voiceovers. The result is a wonderful and memorable open that deserved to last much longer than it did. This morning version used the softer morning cuts of the theme, "Grand".
