The Changes

‘The Changes’ envisions a Britain in which an abrupt, all-encompassing noise from every machine and technological device triggers mass destruction of these items by the population. This turmoil leads to widespread displacement and a regression to a pre-industrial society, characterised by profound distrust towards anyone potentially hiding machinery.

The series first aired from January 6th to March 10th 1975, and was adapted from a trilogy penned by Peter Dickinson.
