Channel 5 (Astra Launch)

Over time, Channel 5 strategically expanded its network of transmitters to enhance the analogue terrestrial broadcast coverage. Starting from 23 April 1997, the channel also made its way onto the analogue Astra satellite service. This significant move allowed viewers living beyond the reach of terrestrial signals to tune in through a satellite dish, broadening its audience base.
