Another year of adapting the network graphics at UTV; with no effort made to cover up the blue and yellow squares unfamiliar to Northern Irish viewers. Christmas time saw children from two Belfast schools introduce UTV's programmes in a novel idea; however, there was still time for Julian Simmons to appear, complete with proper Christmas tree this year!
