Craft, Design & Technology

This series from Thames was rolled out over five consecutive Autumn terms starting in 1982. Series 1 examined the broad range of skills needed for the processes of designing, making and testing. Series 2 from Autumn 1983 focused on the visual elements of design, Series 3 from Autumn 1984 (from which this recording is taken from) introduced a magazine format and focused on crafts. Series 4 & 5 which premiered in Autumn 1985 and 1986 where for GCSE students and filmed on location and covered product design, materials and the use of computers and robots.
