In 1980, Dennis Potter and his producing partner Kenith Trodd struck a deal to do a trilogy of plays for London Weekend Television. This one, Cream in my Coffee, had a young couple having a dirty weekend in Eastbourne in 1934, then the we see the same couple going back to Eastbourne in 1980.
