After Pebble Mill ended in 1986, there was a gap in the BBC One daytime schedules, so they decided to fill it with Daytime UK from….well….Pebble Mill. It ran from 1987 to 1991, renamed Scene Today before returning as Pebble Mill, although not at one o'clock any longer.
