The Debussy Film

Ken Russell rides again with this take on the life and times of the French composer Claude Debussy, as told by a film crew trying to make a film of Debussy’s life. This was written by Russell and Melvyn Bragg and it was the first collaboration between Russell and Oliver Reed, a partnership that would continue with Russell’s films like Women In Love (1969), The Devils (1971) and Tommy (1975)!
