Eamonn Holmes

Eamonn Holmes’ break into television came with Ulster Television’s evening news magazine, Good Evening Ulster, in the early 1980’s. Eamonn’s break into network television started with the BBC’s Open Air programme in 1987, presenting alongside the likes of Bob Wellings and Pati Coldwell. Early mornings beckoned for Eamonn, moving to the Sports Desk on BBC Breakfast News in 1990, following the demise of Open Air. Early mornings obviously suited Eamonn as he launched GMTV in 1993, but he left in 2005 to present Sky News Sunrise. As well as GMTV Eamonn has presented other programmes, both for ITV1 and the BBC, including one of the BBC’s National Lottery programmes!
