Eyewitness News – Alan Weiss interview

One last clip from the Dec. 9 EWN, yet perhaps the most haunting one. Producer Alan J. Weiss was involved in a motorcycle accident and taken to Roosevelt Hospital for treatment. Not long after he was taken into the imergency room, Lennon was rushed in on a stretcher – right next to Weiss. In the turmoil that followed, Weiss was able to get the news not only to WABC, but to ABC as well. The news reached Monday Night Football commentator Howard Cosell, who announced the news to the nation live during the game. In this clip, Weiss describes the events that happened when Lennon was taken to the hospital, in haunting fashion.
