1983 saw WABC update its look again, featuring bolder fonts and a generally bolder presentation style utilizing state of the art computer graphics. This is the first of two editions featuring Roger coanchoring with Tracy Egan, who's sitting in for Bill. 1983 seemed like a year when the city was falling apart – several water main breaks, a power outage in midtown Manhattan, and over a dozen subway derailments mark this year's newscasts.
