Our earliest EWN clip is a close, demonstrating the famous theme and "reporter pods" to the left of the main desk. Melba Toliver shows up in voiceover to invite us to watch her 11pm edition of the news. Sign of the times in this edition: announcer Scott Vincent proudly proclaims that this is a color presentation. A quick glimpse of the first frame of this clip shows us who anchored this edition – Tom Dunn and Bill Aylward. Tom Dunn is probably best known for his long tenure at WOR-TV, where he anchored the venerable News at Noon. Sadly, he passed away in July 2006.
