BBC Golders Green Hippodrome
The Golders Green Hippodrome was built in 1913 as a music hall. In 1969 the BBC took over the building when they were looking for space to create a new colour television studio which later became a radio theatre. The building became home for the BBC Concert Orchestra, and also saw broadcasts and concerts from the BBC Big Band and BBC Radio Orchestra.
The BBC left the famous Hippodrome in 2003.
