GMTV – First Weekday Broadcast (1)

Michael and Fiona were to present Monday to Thursday with Eamonn and Anne presenting on Friday. Unfortunately the transition from TV-am was not a smooth one. Fiona soon left, Michael continued with GMTV, starting the successful "News Hour", weekday mornings at 6 am. Eamonn and Anne presented 5 days a week for a short time. Right clip – Of course today we take ITV local news at breakfast for granted, but it wasn't always that way. GMTV introduced the service on Monday 4th January 1993.
