As mentioned above, once Thames began transmitting overnight, announcers on the graveyard shift would sit through several hours of dodgy horror movies and pop videos before rescue at 6am, when TV-AM would begin. These examples feature Victoria Crawford in 1987 and Sally McClaren in 1990.
