John Roland Last Goodbye

A legend retires. John Roland’s last day at Fox 5 was June 4th, 2004, and the station celebrated by having a retrospective, goodbyes from famous New Yorkers, and even a birthday cake! This is the “goodbye” at the end of the newscast. Linda Scmidt is unable to keep her composure – this was also her last day as the anchor of the 5pm news, as Len Cannon and Rosanna Scotto took over the 5pm, 6pm, and 10pm newscasts.
