The Mary Tyler Moore Show

Mary Tyler Moore, who rose to fame on ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show’ from 1961 to 1966, landed her own CBS sitcom in 1970, thanks to creators James L. Brooks and Allan Burns. In this ground-breaking series, she portrays Mary Richards, a single woman who relocates to Minneapolis for a career at WJM News, managed by Lou Grant, a character brought to life by Ed Asner. A total of 168 episodes were broadcast over 7 series between 1970 and 1977.
