Miranda

Miranda Hart's sitcom is one of a handful ('Allo 'Allo, Rab C Nesbitt) in which the main character breaks "the fourth wall". Countless asides to and instances of direct eye contact with the viewer lend a refreshing masquerade of spontaneity to proceedings. Episodes conclude with Hart and a supporting cast including Sarah Hadland, Patricia Hodge, and Tom Ellis leaving the plot behind for a musical number.
