Morris Ital

The Ital is the last car to bear the Morris name. Originally, it was to be the Morris Marina Mk 4, but the head of BL felt that, despite selling over 1 million by 1978, the name had negative connotations and so the name Ital was adopted. Ital Design Studios didn't have that much to do with the overall design, they only helped design the tooling for the bodywork pressings. The range did see general improvements and refreshing before coming to an end in May 1984.
