In 1983, WOR expanded its news coverage to include an 8pm newscast. It launched unique promos for its news team very similar to the NBC “Be There” promos of the time, showing lead anchors Tom Dunn and Sara Lee Kessler when they were kids, illustrating how news is in their blood.
