With Leonard Parkin. This edition was dominated by the disaster at Manchester Airport earlier in the day. The disaster involved British Airtours flight 28M heading for Corfu. The Boeing 737 caught fire in the left engine whilst on take off which was duly aborted. The fire that ensued would eventually clam the lives of 55 people. The subsequent investigation lead to many safety changes being implemented inculding the materials used in aircrafts. We believe that the HTV coninuity announcer is Sara Edwards.
