A brand new BBC English region for the West of BBC East was created in 2018. The service covered viewers across Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire. However on Friday, December 16th 2022 the Cambridge news service was closed due to cost savings in local programming. Viewers now receive Look East from Norwich.
